Believe in flower power!

Flowers can be so fun! They instantly add a more feminine quality to any outfit, but when paired with dark colors can turn a little vampy. Double fun.

This floral skirt is velour and oh so soft. I bought this in a size up because of the elastic band. With large hips and a small waist I love that this can hit me just right but not dig into my flesh. That's not comfortable at all!

Okay, I know this is pretty similar but it was on sale and I couldn't help myself! This has a navy background rather than black, and I paired it with brown and army green to change it up. I also sized up in this because I have the same skirt in leopard and it shrunk horrifically.  Holding it up super casual like here ;)

My very favorite. Super over-sized top to make it off-the-shoulder and even more flowy. For my shape this is the only way to pull off this top. Any smaller and it gets boxy and unflattering. I'll be wearing this constantly in all seasons.

Being wordy and curvy is fun!

I never really got into the words-on-shirts thing that went around a while back, and I guess are still kind of a thing. I've always liked them on other people, maybe I just hadn't found my perfect words. Now I have and suddenly I can't get enough.

Soft sweatshirt material but a little something different with the neckline. Hangs nicely just over my butt so I would be comfortable in leggings or jeans with this!

Totally digging this new tee with my new blue hair. Perfection!

For this three-years-of-french taking, sailor-like cursing girl, this was a need rather than a want.

Leggings are whatever you want them to be.

I know this started out as fully makeup posts, but I really love dressing up and having fun so I thought I'd get some pictures of my Xmas sale shopping haul and show how I style them!

For years I've been trying to find ways to accentuate the body I have rather than focusing on the body I don't. It isn't always easy but I know I deserve to feel good in my skin. I know this because I fully believe everyone does, and just in the last year have I realized I deserve to put myself in that category. Finding items that make me feel happy, whimsical, powerful, soft, exciting, relaxed...I could go on and on...it's really important to me. When I feel down or stressed, taking a little extra time to dress myself can make all the difference. I smile more, laugh more easily, and just have all around better days when I feel that boost of self confidence.

I am still a student, though. Also quite possibly part sloth. So, I need to be able to feel all these things while also feeling comfortable and free. In this search, we find leggings. Beautiful, stretchy, versatile leggings. Wear them as pants or don't. Cover your lady bits or don't. Do what makes you feel good and don't worry about the rest. Here I'll show four different ways I've been doing leggings this season!

My favorites. My beautiful gold hippy-dippy sun and moon leggings. I keep wearing these constantly and I don't care who knows it!!

I'll wear pink when I want.

I found my new favorite shirt. And as all my favorite clothing items often do, it inspired a makeup look!

Wednesday or not, I'll wear pink when I want, bitch.

Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette was the obvious go-to for this pink mission. Using its beautiful rose and rose gold hues, I felt dreamy and calm.

But I've always got to have some sort of BOOM so Raspberry Glacé came to the rescue.

Do your clothes ever inspire you to go in a certain direction?

Look great on camera!

My sister is home for the holidays so we decided to take family pictures with our dad and family. For professional photos I like to change up my normal routine into something a little more intense. It makes a pretty big difference in the long run.

Here, my naked face and wet hair.

Next, I go in with BH cosmetics cream contour and highlight. (After skin routine) Blend well with normal foundation Clinique Even Better. Conceal under eyes. Top with translucent powder.

This is the result of ^^plus a small amount of Benefit Hoola for contour and a pale shimmer blush on top of the powder where the cream was placed initially.

A bit different lighting unfortunately but you get the idea hopefully!

Since this is for a photoshoot I made the outer corners a bit darker than normal and placed a tiny bit of white-ish shadow just in the center of my lids and a bit more mascara. These are all things that will make your eyes pop on camera.

I of course had to go with a red lip to finish!

As soon as the pictures are posted I'll upload what this looks like on a professional camera!

Find old favorites!

Hey you guys!

One of my favorite things about changing up my makeup style is finding things I haven't used in ages, especially things that were in my 'can't live without' bag at one point! Today I found three old-ass Lancome single shadows in the purple family. These were some of the first bright colors I dared wear out in public, and I loved sporting them again today!

I wish I had a pictorial type thing here to post. Next time, promise :) I'll just show some pictures and give you a list of products after!

Well, here it is. My naked face, in all it's red and dark circled glory! The only thing I have on is a heavy duty lip balm from Clinique to give it time to soak in for my lipstick.

This is the finished look, pre-hair!

Here's how I did my full foundation, concealer, and powder!

Here's how I did my contour, highlight, and blush!

Here's how I did my brows!

And here are some quick and dirty shots of my eye look! I don't have a tutorial filmed for this yet unfortunately. I'll do a run down of what I did to create this look!

I primed my eyes with Too Faced Shadow Insurance, then added NYX Jumbo eyeshadow pencil in Milk to the inner half of my lids, and blended. I added Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Ransom and Vice to the remaining half of my lid, with Vice going to the very outer corner. This gives a good base for shadows to press onto and will make the colors pop!

I then added the three shades to the lid. I pressed them each on rather than sweeping so they would adhere to the primers. Tailored was first, and went where Milk was placed. I added Luring over Ransom and softly blended Trendy over Vice, increasing the space the shadow was using. I kept blending until I was satisfied with the look. Then I took Lorac 3D Liquid Luster silver and dabbed the tiniest bit on my lids to get that amazing shimmer look!

I finished with a line of Maybeline Master Precise liner pen in black, amped up with Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara on my lashes. On the bottom lash line I added the same liners from darkest to lightest, and added their coordinating shadows on top. I lined my waterline with Urban Decay 24/7 in perversion (seriously, so beautiful and dark and long lasting!) As my final touch was adding a very small about of my 3D luster on the inner corners of my eyes!

I hope you liked this look, and that my instructions made some sense! Let me know in the comments what you'd like to see, or if you have any questions!

Be bright!

I thought I would try a FOTD post! These will be a fun way to help me remember what I've been doing and remind myself to always push past my comfort zone. I get into makeup ruts pretty easily, so this will be great! So here's my very first official FOTD!

My Coastal Scents 88 color palette never fails to make me feel brighter! If I need to get my creative juices flowing I can open it up (okay, just grab it because I broke the lid like two years ago) and play!

These always end up being my favorite makeup days. I look at the palette and immediately get drawn to a set of colors. It's the craziest thing. I start swatching different shades of those colors on my hand to find the right combinations before I start going crazy on my face. Once I do that, I grab a flat concealer brush and blend them onto my eye (on top of Too Faced Shadow Insurance and NXY Jumbo eyeshadow in Milk, of course!) Then I find a blush and lipstick that compliments the look and finish it up!

So there you have it! More iPhone pictures of my face and fun colors! What do you do to get out of a beauty rut?
